Job Details What you will do The Chief Agile Coach will unlock the potential of multiple scrum teams or Agile Release Trains by challenging everyone to bring their best thinking, celebrating successes and treating mistakes as learning opportunities. You will be the single point of contact for Agile Coaches/Scrum Masters/Product Owners and escalation point for all stakeholders. Your goal is to ensure teams work together effectively to meet OKRs and customer and business expectations. Raising the bar for yourself and others, you will use Agile methods to rally teams around a compelling future vision and push the company to do more. How you will do it Shepherd complex Agile initiatives from initiation through release Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and ARTS/Teams Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders) Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur Achieve release objectives and results that meet stakeholder needs and expectations Manage scope and timelines Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards Evaluate performance of ARTS/Teams against OKRs Cultivate an environment of continuous learning, helping teams to inspect and adapt Make decisions based on data and customer needs Gain acceptance of ideas from executives coach others on effective influencing strategies and tactics Design strategies for overcoming resistance to change in a wide variety of settings Use \'test and learn\' to make better decisions faster encourage smart risk taking and innovative thinking Apply and interpret metrics used to measure progress and effectiveness Deliver agile methods in a particular business context interpret requirements into business or technical language Improve RTE/SM/PO performance by mentoring, training and motivating What we look for Required Minimum 8+ years as Scrum Master or Project manager for Agile software development teams 5+ years Functional role associated with an information technology system development life-cycle (e.g. Project Management, Analysis, Design, Development, Quality Assurance, etc.) Good coaching and facilitation skills and knowledge of servant leadership, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures Knowledge of Agile approaches: SAFe, LeSS, DaD, XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. Experience with Agile PLM tools like JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, etc. (Any of these) Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing-Preferred, Pairing, Automated Testing. (Any of these) SAFe Experience Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials Bachelor\'s degree (computer science, engineering, accounting, finance preferred) or equivalent work experience Master\'s degree preferred CSM certification and/or Scaled Agile Framework certifications preferred Who we are About Johnson Controls At Johnson Controls, we transform the environments where people live, work, learn and play.
