In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. These programs are funded by USAID, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, David & Lucile Packard Foundation, Children\xe2\x80\x99s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and other anonymous donors.
Jhpiego is hiring for position of Advisor for managing Udaan Collaborative based at New Delhi. This position reports to the Deputy Chief of Party. The selected individual will lead the creation of the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest network of stakeholders committed to the health and well-being of young people involving pharmacists, health care providers, corporates, other alliances and donors.
The position will work closely with the India Country Office and private sector stakeholders for the implementation of the project focusing on improving Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/RH) for young population in India. The project vision is to demonstrate innovative models to leapfrog young people\xe2\x80\x99s reproductive health and family planning outcome. It will also promote adaptation of possible models from evidence-based high impact interventions demonstrated in previous programs. This project is also expected to catalyze lessons learned from USAID\xe2\x80\x99s previous investments on FP/RH for youth.
This position requires public health experience, strong coordination skills, understanding of Indian public health system and ability to develop positive, professional working relationships with various stakeholders like development partners; provider and pharmacy associations.
