Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Job Scope:

Provide leadership to Advanced Quality Engineering team. The AQE team manages, plans, and coordinates quality control
programs designed to ensure compliance with product quality specifications, customer requirements, and process needs during
the product and process design phase until the formal product and process release is achieved - under strong recourse of the LEANPD process,
using APQP and Six Sigma tools.

Job Responsibilities

? Provide leadership to the AQE team by building a talented and strong team through coaching and supporting the AQE's located in the different global regions, as well as providing local AQE support to the engineering team.
? Overall responsibility to eliminate quality problems during the product and process design phase and ensuring the product launch with zero impact.
? Gate keeper for the PAC members wrt to the development process (LEANPD) by reviewing deliverables and the quality of these deliverables
? Assurance that product quality objectives and customer requirements are met by establishing and executing continuous improvement strategies.
? Act as quality interface until the formal product and process release is achieved for all customers, keeping track of customer specific quality requirements and assuring conformance.
? Works closely with Design Engineering on new product development projects: Oversight of planning and conducting activities for the analysis, inspection, design, test and/or integration of products and processes to assure the quality requirements are fulfilled.
? Give input for continuous improvement strategies to support the organization's manufacturing quality and cost reduction goals
? Formulates and maintains quality objectives in coordination with corporate policies and goals.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Educational Degree: Degree Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Professional Experience (years in what processes and functions would be ideal):
? Overall 8 to 12 years of Industry experience with at least 3+ years' experience with demonstrated process improvement success.
? Proven accomplishments utilizing Lean tools/methodologies and Six Sigma tools (deep knowledge of APQP, QFD, DOE, GR&R, FMEA, etc.)
? Clear understanding of quality deliverables in a stage gated development process (LEANPD)

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
? Thorough knowledge of LEANPD, problem solving and corrective action implementation, statistical analysis techniques, and design reviews.
? Strong ability to link customer needs and business processes.
? Demonstrated ability to motivate all levels of the organization.
? Strong team formation skills on a global basis.
? Strong project management skills.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Six Sigma certification (pref Black Belt) enabling support for Structured Problem Solving, 5S, Mistake-Proofing and process capability tools; statistical analysis, APQP .
