Position Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set the standard for best practice in test development and product validation. Drives process improvements across the organization.
- Creation of functional test kit for complex, multilayer hardware assemblies to be used by vendors
- Assist team members in testing and qualifying production assemblies based on current design/specifications using proper engineering techniques
- Answers technical questions related to electrical design validation including component selection, qualification criteria, and related test activity
- Leads internal and cross-department testing efforts to qualify new products to ensure the products reliability prior to release
- Develops user friendly test programs to validate the quality of products and automate testing
Training and/or Experience:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical Engineering or significant equivalent experience
- Minimum 8-10 years in design and development of test equipment and test firmware for embedded systems
- Experience in design, analysis, and manufacturing engineering processes of electrical assemblies
- Minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with software methodologies
- Experience with either software engineering/embedded software/computer/electrical engineer experience with software exposure
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of theory and principles related to electrical engineering discipline or related field of study
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work cross functionally to identify root cause of issue within complex systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Leadership and delegation skills
- Knowledge of gaming machines and fixing hardware problems preferred
- Strong working knowledge of operating systems
- Strong knowledge of tools to test software applications/systems
- Excellent Knowledge of C and Linux
- Must be proficient with modern testing equipment, e.g. oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, multi-meters, function generators, and spectrum analyzers
- Competent in writing firmware
- Excellent Documentation Skills
