Account Manager

The Account Manager at Digital Science, will be responsible for expanding the reach of our commercial organisation driving revenue growth within our division. You will also influence other functions, including product management, solutions development, and services, to ensure we meet our yearly targets. Your success will come from your work ethic, eye for business, relationship-building skills, understanding of key markets, and passion to achieve high-reaching targets. What will you do:
  • Lead as an Individual contributor within the team talking ownership of the customer.
  • Use sales resources effectively and works as a team to lead sales opportunities.
  • Manage and contribute to proposal development, negotiations, and deal closings.
  • Build knowledge to provide technical software solutions to customers and to the technical sales team
  • Respond efficiently and promptly to leads, customer requests, clarifies the customers\'\' business challenges and provide assessment throughout the whole sales cycle.
  • Establishes links at multiple levels and across all collaborators establishing initial solution credibility with accounts.
  • Seek out new opportunities and expand existing opportunities.
  • Build and manage the pipeline effectively to meet or exceed targets.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge of our industry, our solutions, and competitive solutions, to strategically position our products and services.
  • Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with our customers and partners, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the customer.

As the successful candidate you will have
  • Highly developed consultative selling and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate well-targeted solutions from proposal to contract sign-off.
  • Ability to progress multiple deals through a sales cycle concurrently.
  • excellent interpersonal skills, business acumen, with a good understanding of science and digital solutions for laboratories.
  • Ability to Collaborate with other groups within Thermo Fisher to implement appropriate strategies to address business opportunities and overcome obstacles.
  • flexibility with remote-working patterns (global calls) and travel needs and has ability to travel up to 50%
  • You will honor commitments and strive for positive professional relationship with customers, colleagues, and senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years\xe2\x80\x99 sales experience in Software Solutions preferably in LIMS, ELN, SDMS working with industries such as life science, pharmaceutical, biotech, environmental, food & beverage, and/or chemicals with knowledge of the laboratory
  • Requires a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in any life science field and or Computer Science or 3-5 years equivalent proven experience.
  • Must have proficient verbal skills, written skills, virtual skills and effective communication capabilities .
