Role Account Manager is a techno commercial role responsible for promoting and developing BID business with specific focus on \xe2\x80\x93 Biopharma accounts in Pune region to generate business for Consumables & Bench top Instruments. Responsibilities

  • To achieve or exceed the sales plan by maintaining existing academic business and
    develop new accounts in assigned territory.
  • Drive sales activities, generate Leads and to close opportunities identified in Pune region
    and exceed revenue goals.
  • Execute a business plan for managing assigned territory and product workflow annually.
    Develop presentations and customer proposals including structuring appropriate
    payments and contract milestones.
  • Support marketing programs in the territory as assigned.
  • Maintain contact with existing customers to promote new products/cross sell, close deals and grow sales, as well as develop new accounts.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of the features and benefits of competitive products.
  • Responsible to play an active role within assigned region to develop a working
    knowledge of funding, market dynamics & end-user needs where 80% of clientele would be Biopharma and 20% would be academia/research organizations.
  • To Manage business and meet revenue targets from the assigned territory.
  • To be familiar with key stakeholders/customers from the Biopharma & Life Science Industry in the assigned territory.
  • Proven ability to call on customers in territory assigned, plan, schedule, organize and control daily tasks, functions, and duties to yield maximum sales results from efforts.
  • To coordinate with different BDMs/TSS for techno-commercial support.
  • To manage Distributors/Dealers/ Channels business in assigned territory.
  • To coordinate internally with Customer Service/Finance/Logistics/Legal.
  • To develop & maintain relationships with key customers/Stakeholders.
  • To coordinate with Inside Sales/Marketing & other support functions.
  • Achieve AOP Plan in terms of Sales & Profit strictly adhering to the principles and guidelines of the company.
  • Regularly visit the customers and ensuring high level of support for their continued business.
  • A go getter, who identify challenges as an opportunity to grow, develop and provide solutions.
  • Should be well versed with Govt procurement process like Rate Contract/GEM/Tenders etc
  • Evaluate and communicate product and service needs for assigned account.
  • Complete all required administrative duties, including but not limited to all daily / weekly reports to management, maintain follow up files and communicate results.
  • Ability to apply consultative selling skills and \xe2\x80\x98close the deal\xe2\x80\x99 attitude.
  • Field sales experience that includes laboratory and healthcare preferred.
Qualification
  • Masters in Life Science stream/Biotechnology with 5 to 7 years of relevant industry exposure.
Skills and Experience
  • Sound technical knowledge of life sciences product segment & workflow process.
  • Prior experience and sound understanding of workflows in molecular/protein/cell biology.
  • Must be willing to improve on knowledge base, including product information as well as other relevant scientific knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in West.
  • Handling end to end sales for a similar portfolio.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Working in matrix organizations and managing collaborative sales.
