Job Description


Urgently hiring Zonal Internal Legal Counsel for Top NBFC in Noida.

We are looking for candidates for 8+ years of relevant experience.

Objective:

- The position will partner with Business and Risk team in building quality portfolio in the Zone. He/she will support business & risk team by providing the necessary legal support and advise on timely basis required in connection with lending to the borrowers or any other legal matters which come up in day-to- day business operation of the Company.

- This role is all about developing and leading a team of proficient regional legal counsels to build a quality and clean portfolio. This position displays high commitment to Company values.

Responsibility:

1. Extending transactional support/Title due-diligence:

a. Evaluation and legal/title diligence of high ticket cases

b. Drafting of customised documentation

c. Identification of Legal Risks and their control Measures/Mitigation.

d. Well versed with title due-diligence of all types of properties & regional local legal nuances.

e. Monitoring & close coordination with Zonal & HUBs/Branches, CPC & External legal agencies

f. Work closely with Credit & Business Teams.

2. Implementation of Legal Policy and Procedures North Zone

a. Standardization of loan agreement, drafts, procedures and their updation.

b. Procedure and draft updation (P&D)

c. Procedure and practice for security creation

d. Stamp duty requirement and updation.

e. Legal MIS management. Lawyer billing process management.

3. Updation on law, policy and regulatory requirements impacting retail mortgage business

a. Supervision & approval of regional legal policy draft.

4. Legal PDD, Collections and Monitoring

a. PDD Management across Zone specifically for BT and resale cases.

b. Formulating policies for reduction of PDD\'s.

5. Vendor Management

a. Vendor selection- vendor background, qualification, industry reference and reputation

b. Adherence of and improvement on the empanelment process

c. Defining scope of work and effecting requisite timely modifications

d. Rationale of case allocation

e. Vendor Quality management and Audit

f. Payment management - timely and accurate payment

g. Vendor management leveraging technology.

6. APF Project Approvals

a. Managing APFs & builder relation.

b. Vetting of TPA & builder documentation.

c. Supervision of Subvention.

d. APF Legal report management.

7. Team Management

a. Management of regional legal resources.

b. Formulation of approval matrix among internal legal counsels.

8. Market Intelligence

a. Market Intelligence on Real Estate Market

b. Educating with property prices & trends, infrastructure news, policy & guideline changes.

c. Updating senior management on important real estate matters.

9. Concurrent Docket Audit

a. Selection of in-house/external team

b. Quality control/Sample Audit

c. Cost control and management.

d. Publishing Monthly audit dashboard.

10. Trainings

a. CSMs - on Docket executions and Audits Security Creation

b. Credit and Business team - Legal aspects of Retail Underwriting business

c. Zonal and regional resources - through industry experts.

11. Litigation Management

a. Managing Non-collection cases.

b. Finalising Legal recourse & legal strategy in defending cases arises against company & filed by company.

c. Appointment of litigation vendors across Zones.

d. Supervision & management of legal notices received against company.

e. Timely issuance of Notices & replies.

f. Litigation MIS.

g. Managing customer services legal issues with Customer support teams.

h. Appointment of Senior Advocates and briefing senior counsel in important matters.

i. Attending customer service request which are related to legal.
