The position is in the Credit Risk team for the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB EMEA) clients, specifically covering Banks and Insurance companies. The team covers a broad and diversified portfolio of financial institutions across Western Europe (UK & Ireland, Nordics, Germany, Austria, Swiss) and Central and Eastern Europe. Specifically, this role will focus on the UK, Ireland, and Nordics portfolio and the successful candidate will assume responsibilities in leading the team, as Credit Executive for CIB credit exposures approvals, portfolio management as well as managerial responsibilities. The Credit Risk team works closely with business partners across the region in J.P. Morgan\'s Corporate & Investment Bank, including Sales and Trading, Debt Capital Markets, Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, M&A, Treasury Services and Trade Finance. The client base includes both investment and non-investment grade credits, with a balanced mix of Financial Markets transactions and Corporate Lending. Key products include: Flow Trading (e.g. FX, interest rate derivatives, commodities) Structured Trading (Repos and Derivatives) Syndicated and Bilateral loans (Terms Loans, Revolving Credit Facilities) Debt Capital Market issuances Trade finance including LCs, supply chain finance Treasury service products including custody products and cash management. More specifically the role will require: Pro-active credit risk management and critical thinking for CIB credit exposures management across products range - new clients\' onboarding and approval of credit limits, transaction due diligences, completion of annual credit reviews and transaction memos, portfolio monitoring. Comprehensive knowledge of key trading products and loan products offered by the bank, including associated legal documentation, ideally developed via previous experience in exercising credit approval authority. A level of familiarity with trade finance and treasury products. Strong people management skills to lead the team of Associates and Analysts, providing guidance, training, mentoring and oversight for portfolios under coverage. Ability to adhere to various internal policy stipulations and maintain regulatory requirements discipline for credit exposure under coverage. Ability to navigate, interpret and challenge reported financial information as well as projections model assumptions for the successful execution of lending transactions. Regular liaison with Senior Credit Executives to present and articulate credit recommendations for elevated credit approvals, to identify emerging risks in the portfolio under coverage. Ability to develop close working relationships with CIB business counterparts in a variety of areas (CIB coverage, Sales & trading, DCM, Cash management, Trade). Key Skills and Experience : Previous experience as Credit Executive (with approval authority) in covering Banks and Insurance portfolios. Coverage of the EMEA region is would be beneficial. Strong credit acumen, analytical and holistic risk judgment, with an intensive \'hands on\' approach. Must demonstrate ability to identify credit and documentation risks and mitigants, and translate views in concise and value-adding credit recommendation Previous experience in negotiating loan / derivative documentation. Excellent communication skills and execution focus, addressed at guiding the team in the completion of day to day activities, as well as timely escalations to relevant stakeholders within the Bank. Team management experience is preferred, with coaching mindset, ability to develop and motivate junior colleagues, while retaining role of functional individual contributor.
