Position Overview :

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Sales Manager with a proven expertise in building and managing distributor networks within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. This role requires not only deep knowledge of distribution dynamics but also a strong background in primary sales. As the Senior Sales Manager, you will lead the development of our FMCG distribution channels while driving primary sales efforts to achieve ambitious targets. The ideal candidate possesses a track record of success in FMCG distribution and primary sales, along with exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Distributor Network Development:

- Formulate and execute a comprehensive FMCG distribution strategy, identifying, onboarding, and managing distributors aligned with our product portfolio.

- Apply your expert understanding of FMCG distribution to identify potential distributors, assess their capabilities, and ensure alignment with our business goals.

- Establish and maintain clear selection criteria for distributors, rigorously evaluating potential partners.

Primary Sales Leadership:

- Lead the primary sales efforts, targeting both existing and new FMCG clients/customers through various channels.

- Set ambitious FMCG sales targets, develop sales plans, and implement strategies to consistently exceed objectives.

- Demonstrate leadership by actively engaging in key FMCG account interactions, sales presentations, and negotiations to secure deals.

Relationship Management:

- Cultivate strong, enduring relationships with FMCG distributors by delivering exceptional support, communication, and collaboration.

- Serve as the main point of contact for distributor inquiries, concerns, and strategic discussions.

- Continuously evaluate FMCG distributor performance and provide insights to enhance their market effectiveness.

Strategic Planning:

- Leverage your deep understanding of FMCG distribution dynamics to craft innovative strategies for penetrating new markets and consumer segments.

- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to harmonize FMCG distribution and primary sales strategies with overall business objectives.

- Identify opportunities to optimize distributor profitability and market share within the FMCG sector.

Market Analysis and Insight:

- Monitor FMCG market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments to shape distributor strategies effectively.

- Translate insights into actionable recommendations, influencing product development, pricing, and sales strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of sales professionals, offering mentorship and guidance to achieve FMCG distributor-focused goals.

- Cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration within the FMCG sales team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).

- Proven track record of building and managing successful FMCG distributor networks.

- Demonstrated expertise in primary sales within the FMCG sector, coupled with a strong understanding of distribution network dynamics.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Experience:

- Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive experience in FMCG sales, distributor management, and primary sales leadership in Delhi NCR region.

- Strong history of identifying, recruiting, and nurturing FMCG distributors for substantial business growth.

- Extensive experience working within the FMCG distribution model.

Location:

- This role is based at Delhi NCR, with occasional travel to engage with FMCG distributors, attend industry events, and support primary sales activities.
