Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Interpreting Drawings:

Reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to plan fabrication and welding procedures.

Metal Preparation:

Cutting, shaping, and preparing metal components using various tools and equipment, including saws, shears, and bending machines.

Welding:

Performing welding tasks using different techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick) to join metal pieces according to specifications.

Fabrication:

Assembling fabricated metal components into finished products or structures, ensuring proper fit and alignment.

Quality Control:

Inspecting welds and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and safety regulations.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

Operating welding machines, hand tools, and other equipment safely and maintaining them in good working order.

Safety Compliance:

Following all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Collaboration:

Working with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Material Handling:

Lifting and moving metal materials and components, sometimes requiring physical exertion and the use of lifting equipment.

Problem Solving:

Troubleshooting issues that arise during fabrication and welding processes.
Skills and Qualifications:

Welding Expertise:

Proficiency in various welding techniques and procedures.

Metal Fabrication Skills:

Knowledge of metal cutting, shaping, and assembly techniques.

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.

Attention to Detail:

Accuracy and precision in welding and fabrication tasks.

Safety Awareness:
