Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret Plans:

Study blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.

Prepare Materials:

Measure, cut (using torches/saws), align, and secure metal pieces.

Perform Welding:

Apply various techniques (MIG, TIG, arc) to join or repair metal components, ensuring strong, precise bonds.

Inspect & Test:

Check welds for flaws, overheating, or improper fusion, often using measuring tools.

Maintain Equipment:

Keep welding machines, torches, and tools clean, calibrated, and in good working order.

Follow Safety:

Adhere to all safety rules, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and manage hazardous conditions.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with different welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and equipment.

Attention to Detail:

A keen eye for precision and quality control.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing project needs.

Physical Stamina:

Capable of working in various positions (standing, kneeling, overhead) and environments.

Knowledge:

Understanding of metallurgy and thermal dynamics.
Work Environment:

Industries:

Construction, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy.

Locations:

Factories, construction sites, or in the field, sometimes in hazardous conditions (high elevations, underwater).
