Job Description

More than 10 years of experience in warehouse management and last-mile delivery. Worked in industries such as retail pharmacy chain and E-Pharmacy chain. As Warehouse head, the person will be responsible for majorly handling the entire operation of the warehouse that includes overseeing purchase, inventory and logistics management. Details are mentioned below,1. Oversee entire warehouse operations to ensure smooth order fulfilment (order picks up, order checking, order packaging, order ready for dispatch etc.) and play a significant role in long team planning, including initiatives geared towards operational excellence.I. Effectively communicating across internal teams to help maintain seamless operations on day to day basis.II. Managing logistics relationships and improving efficiencies while ensuring delivery against all pre-defined metrics.III. Working closely with the internal departments to solve for system-level bottlenecks or issues toward seamless order processing.IV. Managing the overall development of team members through effective and need-based training and controlling absenteeism and attrition.V. Establishment and monitoring of smooth functioning of delivery HUB's.VI. Managing overall outbound operations, outbound planning, packing, distribution, and overseeing a budget of logistics.VII. Planning and controlling changes as needed.VIII. Manage and increase the operation effectiveness and efficiency through improvement of coordination and communications between support and business functions (Such as HR, Accounts, Admin etc).2. Purchase, Inventory and Logistic ManagementI. Overseeing inventory/stock management including day-to-day activities like receipts, storage, issues and disposition of the material.II. Sustaining the existing network & managing the supply chain, ensuring timely distribution of the material, and monitoring availability of stock, making appropriate arrangements to ensure on-time deliveries.III. Handling receiving activities from mother depot, and local vendors and monitoring incoming materials as per quality & quantity specifications to avoid stock loss.IV. Monitoring shipping activities and reviewing daily dispatch and assigning manpower for receiving, shipping activities.V. Maintains storage area by organizing floor and bin space; adhering to storage design recommending improvements through kaizen.VI. Overseeing invoice generation and preparing Documentation or permits for different states/locations as and when required.VII. Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts and reconciling variances.VIII. Forecasting product demand to ensure the sustainability of the inventory, in sync with working capital management. Developing exit strategies for unsuccessful productsIX. Responsible for vendor development & management. Obtain all relevant information from vendors for system registration, qualification documents and vendor audit as required by QA in addition to documentary support for the RA team. Collect/provide data on vendor performance and share inputs with the management.X. Collect and collate data on the material shortfall, spending, outstanding payments, open requisitions/orders etc. Share collated report & MIS with management.XI. Expedite end-to-end activities for renewal of ARC / AMC / new rate contracts.XII. Assist stakeholders with services post material delivery at location w.r.t. installation / usage / rejection / replacement.XIII. Compile information on new vendors, sources, market, current processes and prices regularly to take timely actions in the interest of the company.XIV. Provide inputs based on issues faced in day-to-day operations. Execute approved initiatives under the guidance of a supervisor3. Coordinate with a customer support team, handling complaints of customers and resolving customer care queries.4. Improve the operational systems and processes. Specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.5. Monitoring monthly Warehouse/Bin audit or binning audit as well as reserve and replacement audit.
