Job Description

A Warehouse Assistant is responsible for managing inventory, assisting in shipping and receiving, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

: Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock counts and updating inventory management systems. Ensure that stock levels are maintained and discrepancies are reported to management.

Order Fulfillment

: Efficiently pick and pack orders based on customer requests or sales orders. This includes selecting items from shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring that all items are accurately packed to prevent damage during transit.

Receiving Shipments

: Check incoming shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy, inspect for damages, and verify quantities.

Equipment Operation

: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition.

Quality Control

: Conduct quality checks on products before shipping to ensure they meet company standards, including inspecting items for defects and verifying product specifications.

Shipping Coordination

: Prepare and coordinate shipments for delivery, including generating shipping labels, completing necessary documentation, and scheduling pickups with carriers.
