Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. This role involves not only teaching core subjects but also mentoring students and supporting their overall development.

Duties

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles. Teach subjects including literacy, math, and physical education while integrating technology into the classroom. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment. Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs or autism, through tailored instruction and early intervention strategies. Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and participate in professional development opportunities. Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Foster a love for reading by utilizing library services and promoting literacy education among students. Engage in mentoring relationships with students to support their personal growth and academic success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; certification in Early Childhood Education preferred. Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with classroom experience in elementary education. Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school experience is a plus. Ability to utilize learning technology effectively to enhance student engagement. Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for standardized testing is desirable. A commitment to ongoing professional development in education administration or related areas is encouraged.
