We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer and Botany Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging computer science curricula that foster students' understanding of technology, programming, and digital literacy. This role requires a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students of varying skill levels.
Duties
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Teach various computer science topics including but not limited to programming languages, software applications, and digital citizenship.
Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment.
Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
Support students in their academic growth through tutoring, mentoring, and academic advising.
Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and instructional design initiatives.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
Familiarity with scientific concepts such as Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology is a plus.
Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for various educational settings including private schools or Montessori environments.
Proven classroom management skills with experience working with students of different backgrounds and abilities.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
Experience in research laboratory settings is advantageous; familiarity with scientific research methodologies is preferred.
