Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:

  • Lead sales efforts for technical products, focusing on large-scale projects, specifications, and enterprise-level sales opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to target key industries, organizations, and projects in alignment with business goals.
  • Build relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with company offerings.
  • Act as the key contact for specification-driven sales, working with customers to ensure that products meet technical and functional requirements.
  • Conduct site visits, meetings, and technical presentations to facilitate understanding of the product's capabilities and applications.
  • Identify, track, and develop new business opportunities through networking, lead generation, and proactive outreach.
Project Management:
  • Oversee and manage the sales cycle for large-scale projects, ensuring smooth handoffs between pre-sales, post-sales, and project implementation teams.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Ensure alignment between customer specifications and the company's technical capabilities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide project updates, support, and guidance to internal teams and clients during project execution and implementation phases.
Technical Consultation & Support:
  • Offer expert advice and support to both internal teams and customers on technical specifications, product features, and performance requirements.
  • Provide detailed product recommendations based on technical assessments and customer needs, particularly for custom projects.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during the sales process and throughout project execution.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Support:
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and marketing departments to ensure product offerings meet customer and project needs.
  • Work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to provide feedback on product performance and specifications based on customer insights.
  • Liaise with the technical support and customer service teams to ensure that issues are addressed and resolved promptly.
Reporting & Analytics:
  • Track and report on sales activities, project progress, and key performance metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management regarding sales forecasts, progress on major projects, and new opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand market trends and customer requirements, adapting sales strategies as needed.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Foster long-term relationships with key customers, ensuring they are satisfied with both the sales process and product performance.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Provide post-sales support, including handling any challenges during product installation, usage, or project implementation.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field (technical degree preferred).
  • Additional certifications in project management, sales management, or specific technical expertise related to the product/service offered are beneficial.
Experience:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in technical or specification-driven sales, with a proven track record of managing complex sales cycles and large projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with architects, contractors, engineers, and other key influencers in technical or specification-based sales.
Technical Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of the industry-specific products and solutions, including their technical specifications, installation, and usage requirements.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and system integration processes.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools to track progress, manage leads, and communicate with clients.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to address challenges and find creative solutions for clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to influence and build trust with key stakeholders, including senior decision-makers.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position.
  • Some travel may be required to visit client sites, attend meetings, and support projects.
