Take accurate food and drink orders, using a POS system when applicable, and communicate them to the kitchen staff.

Serving:

Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely and efficient manner.

Payment and billing:

Prepare and present bills to customers, process payments, and handle cash or credit card transactions accurately.

Table maintenance:

Clear tables of dirty dishes, reset tables for new customers, and maintain a clean dining area.

Guest satisfaction:

Check in with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their meal, address any concerns, and resolve complaints promptly.

Up-selling:

Suggest appetizers, desserts, or drinks to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.

Health and safety:

Follow health and safety regulations for food handling and maintain a sanitary environment.
Necessary skills and qualities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail for accurate order-taking and payment processing. Physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods. Patience and professionalism, especially when dealing with difficult customers.
