Greet, seat and present menus as per service sequence; introduce self and specials.
Anticipate guest needs; check-back within 3 minutes of service; handle complaints courteously and escalate when needed.
Maintain product knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergens and preparation methods.
Order Taking & Billing
Take orders accurately (order pad/POS); repeat orders to confirm.
Enter orders on POS promptly; coordinate fire times with kitchen/bar.
Present bills, process payments (cash/cards/room charge) accurately; follow cash-handling SOPs.
Food & Beverage Handling
Serve food and beverages as per sequence of service; follow tray/carrying techniques.
Prepare basic beverages (water service, tea/coffee set-up) and accompaniments.
Ensure correct portions, garnish and presentation before service.
Table Maintenance & Set-up
Lay and clear tables, reset covers; maintain mise-en-place and side stations.
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, cutlery, glassware and linen.
Monitor table turns and wait list in coordination with the host/hostess.
Sales & Revenue
Proactively upsell menu items, sides, pairings and promotions.
Achieve personal and outlet-level average check and add-on targets.
Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
Follow personal grooming and uniform standards.
Adhere to FSSAI/HACCP food safety practices; ensure allergen and temperature controls.
Practice safe handling of hot items, glassware and sharp objects; report incidents.
Participate in fire, first-aid and evacuation drills.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with kitchen, bar, stewarding and cashier for smooth service flow.
Attend briefings; relay guest feedback and special requests.
Support opening/closing duties and daily inventories as assigned.
