Role Responsibilities Job Purpose Responsible for the delivery of all outcomes to support Group Chief Sustainability Office (CSO) - Sustainable Finance performance requirements. Collaborate with other functional and business owners to work independently and deliver core outcomes. Provide value add through comprehensive understanding of financials, business context and analysis to support their decision making and strategic development. Business Support The role covers Sustainable Finance and as such involves all markets supported by the bank on this business. Responsible for owning end to product and Sub-product performance reporting requirements, with a core objective to ensure that the MI is presented in senior management forums Support the requirements for performance reviews and executive meetings such as SF Monthly Performance MBR/MT and the CCIB Management Meeting Support the requirements of monthly and quarterly country performance reviews with the segment heads by preparing relevant financials, analytics, and presentations Ensure close integration of reporting and performance outcomes of regional businesses with the group for consistency of messaging and business performance narrative Detailed lending control and analysis of income, balance sheet, RWA. Analysis and investigation of trends, returns, and margins and validation of postings to ensure accounting is in compliance with Group Accounting Policies. In addition, prepare and maintain SF rolling forecasts. Front end the coordination and support during forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting cycles with product and segment finance heads and Regional / Country finance functions Create a global standard process for some of our key planning outcomes covering origination and franchise views Work extensively on client information and help create the right process and transparency for client level sustainable finance income Analyse business performance (management and financial), review highlight risks and opportunities and drive actions to ensure committed financial outcome. Support Balance Sheet, capital and liquidity requirements through an understanding of its impact on consolidated business performance and support active balance sheet management for strategic planning Lead, and provide functional/process expertise on performance management / FP&A related changes Provide thought leadership and execution of process change and building new process capabilities. Identification and implementation of process re-engineering opportunities standardisation initiatives and investigation and resolution of issues across processes Team Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness End to end support to the CCIB / CCIB Cash BR1 $760m vs. FY22 Actual $810m CPBB Finance team covering all outcomes for e.g., business performance reports, analytics, planning and partnering with various finance and business stakeholders Contribute to any ad-hoc finance related projects, including providing support to Finance Transformation initiatives as well as simplification of bank process Key Relationships Internal Product Finance Heads - Coverage for Lending, TB & FM Segment Finance Heads Regional Finance teams Group finance team P2P Leadership team Strategy team Investor relations Contributes To Quality of decision making within the business Influences and challenges issues, providing judgement and assessment of impact of proposed actions / activities on performance and strategy Uphold the control and compliance culture in the bank Our Ideal Candidate A mature finance profession with relevant experience in financial services industry Experienced in corporate banking products, booking models, accounting treatments Sound understanding of international accounting standards requirements, business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies, project management techniques A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi-task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations A leader, a team player with the management ability and track record to secure the confidence and respect of the peers, stakeholders and the executive management team. Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of business performance management outcomes Should have worked in a business finance function with strong FP&A background. Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Performance management process. Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders. Strong ability to understand financial statements and its drivers and synthe them into meaningful analyses as required. Develop analysis & interpretations as required to facilitate management decision making. Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations.
