The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

Transformation, Technology and Operations (TTO) organisation within SCB spans
40k people and c.$4bn USD cost base. TTO organization is supported by the TTO CFO organisation under Functions Finance. This role provides support to CFO, TTO and the broader TTO finance management team with reporting and analytics of the $4bn cost base including responsibility for the delivery of planning and performance management processes.

This role has overall responsibility of FP&A support for the $1.2 B Operations function costs covering all aspects of financial planning and analysis value chain.

FP&A Lead - Operations Finance

  • Provide overall analytics and insight on the full gross cost base of the Operations to drive and track cost optimisation and productivity realisation in line with corporate plan commitments. Work in very close partnership with TTO Central FP&A on overall management of the portfolio as part of the wider performance management framework.
  • Partnership role supporting CFO, Operations for all performance management and reporting requirements including ad-hoc analysis.
  • Provide insight on risks and opportunities across the TTO portfolio by working with the relevant finance business partner in the onshore location as well as locally with P2P leads of CCIB,CPBB and FCSO vertical.
  • The role holder will contribute directly to develop relevant materials for the MBR and Board presentations as required by the CFO, Operations.
  • Contribute to improvement of Monthly TTO MT financial report and influence enhanced quality of insights which inform TTO MT and CFO decisions on resource allocations and cost performance.
  • Contribute to execution of the standardisation and optimisation of reporting of Incurred cost financials.
  • Actively contribute to the wider TTP finance change agenda where necessary.
  • Champion FX methodology deployment in line with the Group approach which ensures common understanding across the TTO finance community and ensures compliance to Group standards.
  • Drive bespoke performance management initiatives like unit costing, performance cells and client life cycle costing modelling aimed at significantly moving the dial on Operations cost analytics.
  • Improve speed of reporting for all requirements related to Group outlook consolidation.
  • Lead the transition for both process and financial outcomes related to New financial reporting requirements.
