The Team:

The team presently includes seven individuals in Mumbai including revenue, AP, and GL accountants. The team is expected to expand as more functional areas and tasks are offshored. The US team mainly resides in Chicago and includes 10 individuals. This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

The Role:

The Vice President, Accounting Shared Services is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the shared service accounting function based out of India. This position is integral to building and growing the accounting Shared Services function and will lead the offshoring of multiple accounting tasks. This position requires a high level of expertise in team management, accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The Vice President, Accounting Shared Services collaborates with executive management, providing financial insights and guidance to support decision-making processes and to drive the financial success of the organization.

What You\'ll Do:

• Lead and oversee the completion of various accounting tasks related to the Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Corporate Accounting functions
• Work closely with the Revenue Manager and Accounting Operations Manager in the US to ensure efficient and effective processing of AR and AP, including customer invoicing, collections and processing of vendor invoices

• Oversee various monthly close processes, including but not limited to cash reconciliation, fixed asset depreciation, and payroll processing
• Oversee the monthly accounting close tasks for all foreign jurisdictions
• Manage the statutory financial statement process and oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial statements for all foreign subsidiaries
• Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure accurate and complete financial reporting to stakeholders, including shareholders, board of directors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and monitor changes in accounting rules and regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and propose enhancements as necessary
• Manage performance of team members including deliver performance reviews and provide on the job coaching, assist in succession planning and promotions
• Drive continuous process improvement within the shared services organization, and ensure all policies and processes are efficient and aligned with business objectives
• Ensure compliance to company accounting policies and best practices
• Maintain all process and procedure documentation in response to changing business conditions and internal control requirements

What You\'ll Need:

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA designation is highly desirable.

• Extensive experience in financial management and accounting, with a demonstrated track record of progressive leadership roles.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities, including experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
