:

Position Overview:

• Technical support for VMWare Horizon View systems. Requires the ability to work independently to evaluate symptoms and provide recommendations to the account and customer. Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise solutions.
• Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups. Determine the root cause of complex issues involving both client and server issues. Candidate must have strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with the account, customer, and other support teams/vendors.
• This position includes on-call support after hours, which is scheduled coverage with other team members. Off-shift hours may be required to accommodate escalations and customer schedules/patching windows. The candidate would also be required to provide input to pre-sales teams on new pursuits and execute complex projects to implement various Client Virtualization related components and functionality.

Required technical skills:

• VMWare Infrastructure Management

Design, deploy, and manage VMWare vSphere and associated virtualization technologies.
Monitor and optimize virtual infrastructure performance, capacity, and scalability. * Application Stack Management

Life cycle management of applications/AppStacks: Requirements, AppStack Packaging, Testing, Scheduling, Deployment, Updating, Retirement of Individual and Model Appstacks
Collaborate with application owners to ensure seamless integration and performance. * Security and Compliance

Implement and maintain security best practices for VMWare environments
Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational security policies. * Troubleshooting and Support

Diagnose and resolve issues related to VMWare infrastructure and application stack.
Provide support for application-related problems in virtual environments.
In-depth Windows & Application knowledge from both packaging & testing perspectives. * Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and best practices
Generate performance and status reports as needed. * Automation and Scripting

Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline repetitive tasks.
Explore opportunities for process automation and optimization.
Knowledge in PowerShell, VBS, and cScript/wScript * VMware AppVolumes Admin Console, AppVolumes templates, built-in scripts, snapvol.cfg. Thin App and Thin Direct. Admin Studio/Install Shield, Wise Package Studio, ProU/UEM.

• VMWare View Admin & vSphere, Profile Management (FSlogix), SCCM reporting.
• Proficient in the technical understanding and interactions of

• Profiles, File System, Registry, permissions, Symbolic links, .xml, Java, .Net, .ini, .cfg, OLE, Services, Processes, Kernel & User level drivers, environment variables/path statements, registering dlls, ocx, etc..

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• VMware certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) are highly desirable.
• Proven 7-10 years of experience in managing VMware infrastructure and application stacks.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, including AppStack Packaging, VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Familiarity with application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of networking and storage concepts in virtualized environments.
