Job Title : VMware Administrator Experience rage : 5 years Job location: Bangalore, Noida, : \'The VMware Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of VMware virtualization infrastructure. This role requires in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware technologies to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of virtualized environments. The VMware Administrator collaborates with cross-functional teams to support and enhance the virtualization infrastructure, providing technical expertise and resolving any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities : 1. Design and Deployment: Plan, design, and implement VMware virtualization solutions based on requirements, ensuring scalability, performance, and high availability. 2. Configuration and Administration: Install, configure, and manage VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, vSAN, vSphere, and other related components. Monitor and optimize virtual machine performance, resource allocation, and capacity planning. 3. Virtual Machine Management: Create, clone, and manage virtual machines (VMs) across the virtual infrastructure. Perform VM migrations, snapshots, backups, and disaster recovery procedures. 4. System Maintenance and Upgrades: Apply patches, upgrades, and security updates to VMware infrastructure components. Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including health checks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. 5. Storage and Networking: Configure and manage storage resources and datastores within VMware environments. Administer virtual networks, VLANs, and virtual switches to ensure proper connectivity and network segmentation. 6. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security policies, access controls, and user management within VMware environments. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. 7. Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Generate performance reports, capacity reports, and incident reports as required. 8. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as network administrators, system administrators, and application teams, to resolve issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize system performance. 9. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated with the latest VMware technologies and best practices. Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to other IT staff members, promoting skill development and continuous improvement. Qualifications and Skills : - Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) are highly desirable. - Strong experience in designing, implementing, and administering VMware virtualization infrastructure, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, and vSAN. - Solid understanding of storage technologies, networking concepts, and virtualization architectures. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.\' Number of openings 2
