The Vice President - Production will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire production function of the organization. This includes production planning, process optimization, quality assurance, manpower management, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. The role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of rubber compounding and processing, and the ability to align production strategies with business growth objectives.
Develop and implement production strategies in line with organizational goals.
Plan and execute production schedules to meet market demand and customer requirements.
Drive productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization across all production units.
Process & Quality Management
Oversee rubber compounding, mixing, molding, extrusion, calendaring, curing, and finishing operations.
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards (ISO, IATF, BIS, or customer-specific).
Lead initiatives in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and waste reduction.
Collaborate with R&D for new product trials and process development.
Plant & Resource Management
Manage plant operations including equipment, utilities, raw material utilization, and manpower.
Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery to minimize downtime.
Optimize material usage to reduce scrap and enhance yield.
Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) regulations.
People Leadership
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of managers, engineers, supervisors, and operators.
Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Identify training needs and skill development programs for production staff.
Business & Cost Control
Monitor production costs, budgets, and operational KPIs.
Drive initiatives for cost reduction without compromising quality.
Ensure timely delivery of products to customers in coordination with supply chain/logistics.

Qualification & Experience:
Education:
B.Tech / B.E. in Rubber Technology, Polymer Science, Mechanical, or related field. (MBA/PGDM preferred).
Experience:
10-15 years in rubber products manufacturing, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role (GM/VP/Head Production).
