Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Vice President to join our venture capital fund. The Operations VP will be responsible for managing compliance and operational activities for various funds and co-investment vehicles, executing investment and exit transactions, overseeing fund accounting and performance analytics, setting up fund entities, and ensuring timely completion of audits and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in fund operations, finance analytics, and compliance, with the ability to make independent decisions and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Investor Onboarding and Servicing:

- Lead the investor onboarding process, ensuring compliance with KYC and regulatory requirements.

- Provide exceptional service to investors, addressing inquiries, requests, and providing regular updates.

- Collaborate with the investor relations team to support fundraising efforts and maintain strong investor relationships.

2. Deal Execution (Investment & Exit):

- Oversee the execution of investment and exit transactions within approved parameters.

- Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities and respond to investor questions.

- Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure smooth transaction processes and timely closures.

3. Fund Accounting and Performance Analytics:

- Ensure accurate fund accounting, including the preparation and distribution of NAV statements.

- Conduct portfolio modeling, scenario analysis, and performance analytics for fund reporting and decision-making.

- Collaborate with the finance team to devise fundraising strategies based on performance insights.

4. Setting up and Operationalizing Fund Entities:

- Lead the setup and operationalization of new fund entities and coinvestment vehicles.

- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during the entity formation process.

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish operational processes and systems.

5. Audit and Compliance Activities:

- Manage and oversee the annual audit process for various fund entities and co-investment vehicles.

- Ensure completion of compliance activities, including quarterly and ad-hoc reporting requirements.

- Implement and maintain robust compliance frameworks and procedures to mitigate risks.

6. Analytics, Reporting, and MIS:

- Perform analytics, portfolio modeling, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.

- Ensure regular and accurate updates of portfolio company MIS (Management Information System).

- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on fund performance for internal and external stakeholders.

7. Special Operational Activities:

- Lead and oversee various special operational projects, such as distributions, fund restructuring, etc.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects within defined timelines and objectives
