1.Job title COGNIZANT IS LOOKING FOR BACKUP ADMINISTRATOR 2.Job summary Primary Technical Skills Veritas NetBackup, InfoScale, Disk Appliances (Veritas Flex and Data Domain), Skills & Experience Overall 4 to 6 years of IT infrastructure The primary role of the candidate is to support Veritas Backup infrastructure in Private and Public Cloud. Candidate is required to work on Disk appliances from Veritas and Dell and should be managing the overall backup alert and monitoring using Veritas OpsCenter and Aptare. 3.Experience 4to6yrs 4.Required Skills Technical Skills- ,Veritas Net Backup Domain Skills- 5.Nice to have skills Techincal Skills- ,Backup and Restore Domain Skills- 6.Technology Infrastructure Services 7.Shift Day 9AM TO 7PM 8.Roles & Responsibilities Backup Administrator 4-6 years, A Level - Chennai location ? Deep Knowledge on Veritas NetBackup ? Good knowledge in Disk based and Tape based backup ? Good Knowledge of info scale cluster. ? Good knowledge of Installation, Deployment & Configuration of Veritas NetBackup. ? Good Knowledge of Veritas Appliances (Flex 5340 / NBU 5340 / 5250) and Dell Data Domain Backup storages. ? Excellent troubleshooting skills to manage Backup and Restore Failures ? Manage and maintain the backup Infrastructure ? Verify all full backup jobs ? Basic analytical and problem solving skills Requirements ? 4+ years project experience in Veritas NetBackup and Disk appliances. ? Effective communication skills ? Manage different Backup configurations. Agent and Snapshot based backup clients ? Analyse existing backup environment and provide expert advice for optimizations ? Understanding functionalities of key Backup components/processes ? Deduplication/ Encryption /Replication/Reclamation/Migration/Snapshot/Retentions ?
