We are on a quest to find a UX Designer to join our growing UXD practice at Springer Nature and work on products across Data Analytics Solutions (Early Joiners preferred)

You will join a cross functional team with different nationalities, backgrounds and experience levels.

About the Unit

The Data & Analytics Solutions - IT team is responsible for providing the necessary technical and domain expertise required to create and maintain the databases and shared services for our end customers. Our flagship products namely SpringerMaterials, Experiments and ADIS Insight are built by a team of developers, QAs, BAs, UI & UX experts and SMEs, who collaborate to ensure easy accessibility of relevant data. We follow a problem statement and user experience driven approach to ensure the right data is available in the simplistic way for the scientific community.

About the Team:

About the team: Our Data & Knowledge Technologies team, distributed across Heidelberg - Germany, and Pune - India, is working on all aspects of the data-value creation chain for our scientific data & analytics solutions. Sometimes you\'ll work across teams and brands, other times you\'ll work closely with a specific team and be an active part of their daily product development. Our teams deliver iteratively, and testing prototypes is a part of our ways of working. You would engage with our global UXD practice and make lots of new friends.

Job Location: Tower 9, Magarpatta City, Pune. (Working in Hybrid Model), Years of Experience: 3-5 years

What we are looking for

Educational Qualification: Bachelor\'s degree in Design or Graduation in a relevant field

Key Skills:

Prototyping, wireframing, user flows, mockups, Visual design and design software, Information Architecture, Interaction design skills, Basic understanding of accessibility, universal design, User research and usability testing

What you will be doing:

Lead design efforts and advocate user centric processes within the product team.

Work closely with product owner and manager to define a user centric problem statement and product vision

Translate concepts into wireframes that lead to intuitive user experience

Design and deliver wireframes, prototypes, user stories and user journey optimized for a wide range of deliver and interfaces

Take a user centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs

Work closely with the Business Analysts, UI Designer and development team and ensure connection between user research outcomes and development pipelines.

Requirements

Bachelor\'s degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction, a related field.

3 or more years of practical experience conducting research and creating user-centric products or

services.

Portfolio that showcases systems-level design thinking, problem-solving and prototyping skills.

Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with different stakeholders and evangelize user- centric methods of working.

Prior experience in database products/services desirable.
