Company Overview:
We are a leading electrical hardware manufacturing company seeking an experienced Store Head to manage inventory and procurement of spare parts, machine tools, and consumables at our plant in Dhulagarh.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end store operations, including receipt, storage, and issuance of spares, tools, and consumables.
Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records using ERP/SAP systems.
Responsible for procurement of store items, spare parts, and consumables in coordination with the purchase team and internal departments.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and purchase teams for timely availability of materials.
Implement inventory control procedures and ensure periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and identification of all inventory items.
Conduct supplier follow-ups for timely delivery and quality checks.
Prepare and present MIS reports for stock movement, consumption trends, and reordering requirements.
Lead and supervise store staff, ensuring compliance with safety, housekeeping, and audit protocols.
Optimize storage space and improve material handling efficiency.
Key Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in stores and inventory management in a manufacturing industry.
Strong background in managing and procuring machine tools, spare parts, and consumables.
Proficient in using ERP/SAP or other inventory management software.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards related to store operations.
Preferred Candidate:
Experience in electrical or mechanical manufacturing industries.
Residing in or open to relocating to Dhulagarh,(Howrah) West Bengal.
