Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS): is responsible for managing all infrastructure components globally, supporting business delivery projects and delivering TIS projects.

The function is divided into six core disciplines:

• Service Management - Major Incident Management, Problem and Change Management functions and 24/7 Bridge Operations.
• Technology Architecture and Engineering - define and drive overall Infrastructure/Cloud Architecture and strategy, alongside scope, design and engineering of Infrastructure solutions.
• Delivery Support - supporting the business by managing the delivery of infrastructure elements of change projects, along with the management of the Technology Infrastructure portfolios.
• Network, Voice and Market Data - design, engineering, implementation and operational support of infrastructure related to global network technologies, UK Data Centres and market data services.
• Core Infrastructure and Collaboration Services - design, engineering, implementation and operational support for infrastructure related to Platform (Wintel, Linux and UNIX), Storage, Backup, IAAS, PaaS, Digital, Web & Middleware and Collaboration.
• Data Services - design, engineering, implementation and operational support of all database technologies, data services including replication, analytics, virtualisation and grid, Big Data and ICTIS.

Purpose of the Role

The role is responsible for delivering core Unix Infrastructure operations and Delivery support, working within the global unix team. As a member of Unix and working as an individual contributor this role would need someone who enjoys working in an energised environment with a culture of teamwork and open communication. You will need to have a broad range of technical knowledge specialising in Unix, ANSIBLE and RHEL administration, service delivery and automation. Developing new self-service solutions to offer as part of our Unix.

You will also require collaborative engagement with other platform functions to ensure the business receives a consistently high service level from Technology Infrastructure Services as a whole.The candidate will participate and be involved in all aspects of Platform opeartions, development & supporting fidelity project work.

Role requires to work in both INDIA and EMEA shits to cover UK working hours as the team is a global team with team members working in UK, APAC and India regions

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Good knowledge of RHEL and AiX
• Good knowledge on Storage Foundations - Veritas Clustering and Veritas Volume Manager
• Good awareness of CI/CD practices and can work in a DevOps manner
• Good understanding of UNIX automation, scripting and various entities (e.g. Ansible, Python, Rundeck, Jenkins)
• Experience developing service monitoring solutions using common tools (e.g. Zabbix & Moogsoft).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite, Virtualisaed Infra running on VMware vSAN and external storage attached servers (SAN atached)
• ITIL foundations certification and framework knowledge
• Knowledge on public cloud vendors in terms of server hosting and security standards
• Knwoledge on hardware products from Dell (PowerEdge), Oracle, DeLL-EMC
• Familiarity with Identity and security and access management
• Installation and maintenance of new servers and 3rd party software
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to interpret problem statements & work with requestor to deliver an effective solution
• Technical awareness of future products, concepts and standards.
