Job Description

The Unit Finance Controller is responsible for managing the financial operations of the hotel to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations. This role supports the General Manager and executive team in driving profitability, cost management, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting:



Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and company standards. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to corporate and regional offices. Analyze financial results, monitor variances, and provide insights to improve operational and financial performance.

Budgeting & Forecasting:



Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for the hotel. Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate forecasts and spending alignment. Monitor capital expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.

Internal Controls & Compliance:



Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records. Ensure compliance with company policies, local tax laws, and other statutory requirements. Coordinate internal and external audits.

Operational Support:



Partner with the General Manager and operational leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue-enhancement initiatives. Review departmental P&Ls and support operations in financial planning and control. Oversee inventory, procurement, and payroll from a financial control perspective.

Team Management:



Lead and develop the finance team, including training, mentoring, and performance reviews. Ensure adequate staffing and succession planning within the department.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or controllership role. Strong knowledge of hospitality finance systems (e.g., Opera, Micros, SAP, or similar). Solid understanding of local accounting standards and international financial reporting. Proficient in Excel and financial analysis. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Attributes:



Experience in luxury or branded hotels. Multilingual skills (if relevant to the location or guest profile). Strategic thinker with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
