is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the hotel, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting. The role ensures compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and internal controls, while supporting management in achieving financial objectives and operational efficiency.
Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely submission of MIS reports to Corporate Office.
Review revenue, expenses, and profitability on a daily and monthly basis.
Analyze variances between budget and actual results, providing corrective action plans.
Maintain the integrity of accounting systems and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process in coordination with department heads.
Prepare rolling forecasts and long-term financial plans.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and recommend operational adjustments.
Cost Control & Analysis
Implement cost control measures across all departments (F&B, Rooms, Engineering, etc.).
Monitor food cost, beverage cost, payroll, and other operational expenses.
Conduct internal audits and spot checks for cash handling, stores, and inventories.
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with statutory laws, tax regulations (GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, etc.), and hotel policies.
Liaise with internal and external auditors for smooth audits.
Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Manage cash flow efficiently and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
Review bank reconciliations, deposits, and disbursements regularly.
Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for payments, loans, or credit facilities.
Team Management & Coordination
Supervise and train the Finance & Accounts team at the unit level.
Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance.
Support management with business analysis, feasibility studies, and financial insights.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of
hospitality financial systems (IDS, Opera, SUN, Tally, etc.)
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Sound knowledge of
Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in
MS Excel and ERP systems.
