We're looking for an enthusiastic UI/UX Developer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in designing and building user interfaces. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to real-world projects that impact our users.
What You'll Do
You'll work alongside our design and development teams to create engaging user experiences. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the design and development of web interfaces, translating design mockups into responsive HTML/CSS code, and participating in user research and usability testing sessions. You'll help maintain and update our design system and component library, collaborate with designers to implement UI improvements, conduct competitive analysis and user interface audits, and support A/B testing initiatives to optimize user experience. Additionally, you'll participate in team meetings, design critiques, and brainstorming sessions while learning industry best practices for frontend development and UX design.
Required Qualifications
We're seeking students currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Design, HCI, or a related field, or recent graduates looking to gain practical experience. You should have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, familiarity with at least one design tool (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar), understanding of responsive design principles, a portfolio or projects demonstrating UI/UX work (academic or personal projects welcome), strong communication and teamwork skills, eagerness to learn and take on new challenges, and attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular), knowledge of Git and version control, understanding of web accessibility standards, familiarity with CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap), basic understanding of UX research methods, experience with prototyping tools, and coursework or certifications in UX/UI design would be beneficial.
Duration & Commitment
3-6 month internship with flexible start dates, 20-40 hours per week (negotiable based on academic schedule), and hybrid/on-site options available.
