As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, UL Solutions Identity Management and Security (IMS) is hiring a Technical Analyst to test, validate and certify payment devices to join our team in Bangalore, India. What youâll learn & achieve:: On a day-to-day basis, consumers use the global payment infrastructure by purchasing goods in shops, performing online checkouts, or withdrawing money from ATMs. UL supports customers, including the biggest brands in the world, in their ambition to make great digital payments products. Together with our partners in the industry we introduce and verify new payment technologies, mobile wallets, and innovative digital payment solutions.
Our global Test & Certification Services (TCS) team of 20-25 people operates from 7 different locations.

UL Solutions' TCS team is helping our industry partners to bring their payment products like point of sale (POS) terminals, cards, mobile devices, etc. to market. In our Leiden lab and in our other labs, we are testing, analyzing, validating and improving products from local and global clients. You will work on certification projects with direct customer interaction and hands-on testing. With guidance and support from your team, you will develop personal, technical, and market domain knowledge and skills to become a highly skilled professional technical analyst.
The team delivers test and certification services for the certification for multiple EMV based Payment Schemes, or Brands, including Mastercard, Discover, and the other global payment brands, as well EMVCo 3D Secure certifications.
The Technical Analyst performs test activities and guides the internal or external customer to achieve a smoothly running testing, validation or certification process. The Technical Analyst focusses on the definition of tests projects, in direct contact with the key stakeholders. This includes using test (automation) tools, analyzing and validating test results and reporting to the stakeholders. The Technical Analyst participates in the development of test procedure documents, test specifications, and contributes to the test automation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Test activities - use and configure tools, test samples and templates in the appropriate way, execute and analyze test results.
  • Analysis and problem solving - analyze findings and validate test results, pinpoint issues and communicate issues with client’s developers and product owners.
  • Daily communication with clients about their products – clearly report, both verbally as written, observations, verdicts and next actions.
  • Quality and integrity - ensure high quality of client products, deliverables, input documents and test results.
  • Innovations – have an open and creative mind, be able to recognize new business opportunities, improve internal processes. Develop knowledge about the newest released products and be on-top-of-the-market regarding mobile payment initiatives.
  • Personal development - attend related training sessions to become expert in transaction technology, maintain knowledge of standards, specifications and rules of the international payment schemes, including new technologies and innovations.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
What makes you a great fit::
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in a technical discipline plus generally one year of directly related experience. Experience in test procedures and test tools of ULTS or similar experience is required.
  • You have at minimum a BSc-level degree which proves your analytical skills and technical approach.
  • Very precise in test work, eye to detail, and able to follow given procedures.
  • You have an innate sense of responsibility; accuracy and you are attentive to detail.
  • You can work independently to a deadline, and you are capable to run your work efficiently.
  • You possess good spoken and written English language skills, any other language is a plus.
  • Flexible to change of circumstances (e.g., short confirmation timelines, handling multiple projects simultaneously).
  • 1 plus years of experience in testing, validating and certification of payment devices.
