International Rate Specialist

Full-time, home based in the US
You will report to John Paul Hudson

This position will primarily focus on the domestic manual exchange queues and will assist with international rates, refunds as skill levels increase. IRD & DMED specialist are expected to use their experience applying fare construction methods; including but not limited to split ticketing, differentials, mileage calculations, special promotions, waivers, and exceptions.

• Service Level Agreements
• Clearly documenting the GDS PNR per department standard outlined in OneNote
• Per tariff and IATA rules
• Supporting BCD Travel preferred vendor agreements when applicable
• Applying airline rules and tariff changes
• Sending to Compleat following department standards outlined in OneNote
• Per tariff and IATA rules
• Remains current on airlines rules and tariff changes
• Ensure quality control on database information
• Seeks guidance as needed to support customer requests
• Completes skill-based training as directed by management
• Customer reporting
• HQIRD
• Refund database

How you can set yourself apart

• Extensive experience in domestic exchange/ticketing and international faring experience
• Proficient with at least two specified reservation systems (GDS)
• Advanced knowledge of NA domestic and international geography
• Expert knowledge of International Air Transport Association (IATA) rules and tariffs
• Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel,
• Spanish or other European language and English
• Thorough knowledge of BCD technologies
