Routing and Scheduling: Develop efficient transportation routes and schedules to optimize delivery times and reduce costs. Driver Supervision: Oversee a team of drivers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Ensure drivers adhere to safety protocols and maintain the required licenses. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations, including driver hours-of-service regulations, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards. Inventory Management: Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to coordinate the movement of goods and materials in and out of the facility. Cost Control: Monitor transportation expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising safety and quality. Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries and addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
