Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Drive adoption of improved Ways of Working (WoW) across Transaction Banking.
  • Create high performance culture where agile is leveraged as a strategic business asset.
  • Identify and attack organisational impediments constraining productivity, quality, early risk mitigation and continuous delivery of customer value.
Business
  • Apply your strengths in coaching, mentoring, advising, designing solutions through thought leadership across key organisational agility enablers.
  • Adapt and change your approach based upon the context that you are supporting through the cultural transition towards embedding organisational agility.
  • Driven by customer obsession, deploy strategies to accelerate speed of change in delivery of innovative products and services.
  • Enable a culture of high performance that is highly collaborative and focussed on continuous learning and improvement.
Processes
  • Challenge the "as is" way of working across delivery, governance, operational model / structure, funding.
  • Apply depth of analytical understanding of a variety of New Ways of Working such as Scrum, Kanban, Human Centred Design or Design Thinking, Lean, Dynamic Work Design, A3 problem solving, Extreme Programming, Behaviour Driven Development, DevOps, Agile Friendly Operating Models and Agile HR.
  • Understand what practice, tool or technique to apply given the environment and the situation is the challenge that you will need to demonstrate mastery in using a show / tell / do approach.
Transformation
  • Deliver training and coaching to TB teams to adopt culture change and best practices, including but not limited to Agile, Dynamic Work Design and Human Centred Design.
  • Drive implementation of tools to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies in the client journey redesign process, enabling the successful end-to-end delivery of the client journey roadmaps to become truly Agile.
  • Contribute to the design, implement and analyse outcome-based metrics in collaboration with TB Management Team and functional partners to facilitate effective measurement of transformation outcomes and ensure availability of timely and comprehensive management information.
  • Build leadership capabilities focused on operational excellence, agility and commercialisation.
  • Embed and initiate new ways of working - driving a change mindset locally, building capability on Agile ways of working, digital delivery, defining maturity models and frameworks, Kaizen, etc. (any other as appropriate, practices are illustrative only).
  • Lean and refine the Agile delivery model and scale across all geographies, facilitating the collaboration between Group teams and country teams
  • Work with the team to automate manual dashboards / reports / processes to be run out of automated dashboards.
  • Work with the technology teams to drive JIRA and other tooling discipline.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5 years leading and managing Software / IT Projects / Teams using Agile.
  • 10 years hands on experience in Agile and other related disciplines (Lean Software Development, Human Centred Design).
  • 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience in leading transformation across portfolio.
  • Experienced Sr Agile Coach or Scrum Master.
  • Experience in cultural transformation and building high performance organisations.
  • Proficient in using a variety of agile delivery tools e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Tableau.
Licences and Certification / Accreditations
  • Coaching, Scrum Master and Product Owner certifications
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, to establish strong working relationships with senior leaders across business, technology, operations, and control functions.
  • Proven track record of executing complex or innovative change efforts. Able to mobilise diverse, cross-functional teams, located in different countries and with matrixed reporting lines, to deliver against common objectives under tight deadlines with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise.
  • Excellent professional skills, including verbal, presentation and written communication skills; ability to simultaneously "see the big picture" and manage the details of implementation on a day-to-day basis.
  • Experience of developing a rollout plan of workshops, kick-offs and communications activities across large BUS.
  • Strong knowledge of the businesses, markets and operations of Standard Chartered Bank and relevant policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Coaching, Scrum Master and Product Owner certification.
