Our Global Tax team is a key business partner in growing shareholder value while complying with regulations in 100+ countries. Gartner is looking for a Transfer Pricing Manager to focus on our growing documentation and compliance needs. The position requires a high level of interaction with employees throughout the organization, including the treasury, accounting, finance, business operations, and legal departments. This individual will also work closely with other internal and external tax professionals on many projects. The ability to multi-task and work on a wide variety of compliance, controversy, and planning projects is key to the success of the position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Specific tasks may include the following:
  • Manage preparation in house or by external advisors of annual transfer pricing documentation and disclosures within US and non-US tax returns for 30 + affiliates in accordance with US and foreign requirements.
  • Manage relationship and document flow with external service providers
  • Prepare and analyze financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance purposes
  • Regularly monitor affiliate profitability to ensure consistency with economic targets.
  • Conduct tax research, assist with tax audits, and provide tax controversy support
  • Actively partner with cross functional groups within the company to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure tax needs are identified, considered, and communicated.
  • Participate in transfer pricing process optimization, develop, and implement procedural changes and/or processes to improve transfer pricing function.
  • Support the development of documentation of our transfer pricing processes
Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance or equivalent
  • MBA or CPA (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and thorough understanding of the U.S. Transfer Pricing Regulations and international transfer pricing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, data analytics and financial modeling; Alteryx, PowerBI, and RPA a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, solid analytical, research and modeling skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proactive, attentive to detail, strong sense of ownership, ability to prioritize and to work autonomously
