About BD TCI

BD, a 125-year-old global medical device company has started its Research and Development Organization in Bangalore India which is BD Technology Campus India (TCI). This R&D center will be an integral part of the global R&D, in design related activities and full product life cycle management. This R&D organization will have highly skilled associates in the field of engineering and science.

Position Summary

Training Manager will coordinate with all the leaders across various BU's and platforms to consolidate the various technical trainings, learning activities of BD TCI. He will play a pivotal role that would need the associate to collaborate with the Site Leader at TCI, Bangalore R&D India and with the various platform leaders. This would enable to provide an effective foundation to the team at BD TCI.

Educational Background

Graduate degree in Engineering is a must with Post Graduation preferred

Professional Experience

• 10+ years' experience with over 4 years working as Training Manager or other relevant roles
• Experience in core product development organization is a must
• Significant experience with effective learning and development methods
• Experience in project management and budgeting
• Practical experience with MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a must
• Six Sigma Black Belt knowledge would be preferred
• Strong communication and negotiation skills? with a good ability to build relations with employees and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills with business-oriented thinking

Job Responsibilities

• Building a tool for Training at TCI
• Engaging with the leadership team and identifying the necessary trainings on technical and soft skills
• Developing a road map for training and tracking the progress
• Implementing an effectiveness of training of different modules
• Engaging with external partners, conduct an evaluation of the organizations and recommend the right organization for trainings
• Setting up the contracts with external organizations for training
• Developing a budget on a on going basis for training and development
• Organizing external training events
• Developing a plan for Corporate Social Responsibility
• Developing key events for conducting CSR
