Job Description

The Training & Development Manager is responsible for overseeing all learning and development initiatives across the hotel. This role ensures that all team members are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and behaviors required to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain high service standards, and comply with brand and legal standards. The manager will design, implement, and evaluate training programs that support operational excellence, employee engagement, and career development.

Key Responsibilities: Training Design & Delivery:



Identify training needs through job analysis, performance appraisals, and regular consultation with department heads. Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for all departments, including onboarding, customer service, safety, compliance, and leadership. Conduct engaging in-person and virtual training sessions for employees at all levels. Ensure all training content aligns with brand standards and hotel policies.

Onboarding & Orientation:



Lead new hire orientation to introduce company culture, values, and service standards. Ensure new employees are effectively integrated into their roles with job-specific training and support.

Performance Improvement & Coaching:



Partner with department heads to identify performance gaps and create action plans for improvement. Provide one-on-one coaching and support to managers and employees as needed.

Compliance & Certifications:



Maintain and monitor training records and ensure all required certifications (e.g., food safety, health & safety) are up to date. Deliver compliance training as required by brand or legal regulations.

Evaluation & Reporting:



Measure training effectiveness using surveys, feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Prepare and present reports on training ROI, participation, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Talent Development:



Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning through development programs. Collaborate with leadership to create career development paths for team members.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting. Proven experience designing and delivering training programs for diverse teams. Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms. Certification in training (e.g., CPTD, ATD) is a plus. Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on location.

Working Conditions:



Primarily office-based, with frequent interaction with operational departments on the hotel floor. Flexible schedule to accommodate training across different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if needed.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
