ROLE PURPOSE
The Training Development Manager is a role within the Global Technical Delivery (GTD) team, responsible for the creation and execution of a global training program across multiple product lines. The position involves close collaboration with product specific subject matter experts within Global Technical Delivery and cross-functional teams for the onboarding of new employees and development of our existing employees.
The Training Development Manager will assess developmental needs to drive training initiatives and solutions for a variety of roles within Global Technical Delivery. This position requires the flexibility to simultaneously create and implement all aspects of technical delivery training in a fast-paced environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop a strategic vision and curriculum plan for internal roles that aligns with current and future GTD business priorities and strategies.
Create role-based learning journeys and competency matrices to enable employees' success.
Manage cross-functional training and operational readiness initiatives, leadership development, curriculum design, and training evaluation.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop requirements, develop content, and lead mentoring, train-the-trainer and advisory programs.
Develop and conduct effective and professional training presentations and materials with a high measurable impact.
Design content sourcing frameworks and processes to minimize rework and increase content production speed and efficiency.
Independently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, including prioritization, timeline, risks, execution, communication, and conflict management.
DECISION MAKING AND INFLUENCE
The Training Development Manager should possess the ability to identify, design and deliver innovative training solutions. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships across leadership levels as well as possess the ability to coach and mentor peers and colleagues in challenging and time-sensitive situations. This position is ideal for someone who wants to drive change and make a lasting impact.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience. Education and experience preferably in Life Science, Instructional Design, Adult Education, or other related fields.
Requires a minimum of 3 years of progressive enablement or consulting experience in Life Sciences, especially in the clinical trial process, and/or Technology industry or 4-6 years training and development experience.
3.2+ years of experience directly or indirectly managing project or cross-functional teams.
Desirable
Experience working with software development teams in a fast-paced, software development environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of learning management systems, training plan, curriculum, and job aid design and development
Excellent organizational and project and time management skills. Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner. Proactive in risk management and communication.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately
Ability to have a flexible work schedule to accommodate time differences due to global workforce.
