Job Summary: The Soft Skills and Behavioral Trainer for a seafood and meat retail store chain is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering training programs focused on improving employees\' soft skills, customer service, and overall behavior. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the customer experience and ensuring that employees interact professionally and effectively with customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Development:

    • Create, update, and customize training programs that focus on soft skills, customer experience, and behavioral aspects.

    • Design and implement training programs on SKU level knowledge pertaining to Chicken, Mutton & Seafood

    • Align training materials with the company\'s values, mission, and customer-centric objectives.

  • Training Delivery:

    • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for retail store employees, including front-line staff, supervisors, and managers.

    • Utilize various training methods, such as workshops, role-playing, simulations, and e-learning, to cater to diverse learning styles.

  • Soft Skills Development:

    • Train employees in essential soft skills, including communication, active listening, empathy, problem-solving, teamwork, and conflict resolution.

    • Provide guidance on how to handle challenging customer interactions and diffusing tense situations.

  • Customer Service Training:

    • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service by teaching employees how to greet customers, assess their needs, offer product recommendations, and handle complaints professionally.

    • Focus on building rapport, customer engagement, and customer retention strategies.

  • Behavioral Training:

    • Develop and deliver training on workplace behavior, including punctuality, dress code adherence, ethical conduct, and teamwork.

    • Address issues related to employee behavior and interpersonal dynamics within the retail environment.

  • Feedback and Evaluation:

    • Collect feedback from trainees and assess the effectiveness of training programs.

    • Modify training materials and methods as needed based on feedback and results.

  • Monitoring and Coaching:

    • Observe and evaluate employee interactions with customers and colleagues in real work settings.

    • Provide one-on-one coaching and constructive feedback to employees for improvement.

  • Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and employee progress.

    • Prepare training reports and share insights with management.

  • Continuous Learning:

    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices in soft skills and behavioral training, and advancements in customer service techniques.

  • Store Audit & Process Adherence

    • Regular store visits to check if the store team is following the operational process on a daily basis.

    • Mystery audits/shopping to check the staff behavior and come up with improvement plans.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

  • 3-5 Years of relevant work experience

  • Proven experience as a soft skills trainer, behavioral trainer, or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to create engaging and effective training materials.

  • Patience and the ability to work with individuals at all skill levels.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Flexibility to adapt training methods to various learning styles.

  • Certification in training and development is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi & English

Working Conditions: The Soft Skills and Behavioral Trainer primarily works in a retail store or training facility. The role may require some travel to different store locations within the retail chain. Training sessions may be conducted during both regular and off-hours to accommodate employee schedules.
