Job Description

Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Fund Management Corporation Limited (TNIFMC) is a SEBI regulated Alternative Investments Fund (AIF) manager, set up by the Government of Tamil Nadu along with leading financial institutions.

TNIFMC manages AIFs focused on various sectors of the economy supporting Government's policy initiatives to catalyse private sector investments with focus on delivering commercial returns.

Tamil Nadu Green Climate Fund (TNGCF) is a Venture Capital Fund with focus on investing in enterprises across the Green Climate economy. TNGCF has anchor commitments of Rs 100 Cr and targets to raise about Rs 1000 Cr.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 8 - 15 years of experience in Venture Capital/Growth equity investing preferably in the Green economy sectors such as energy, food, carbon, pollution, mobility etc.

- Experience in fund lifecycle aspects including investment sourcing, evaluation, investments, portfolio monitoring, exits apart from fund raising and LP relationships.

- Demonstrated capability of networking with entrepreneurs and the ecosystem for origination of projects especially in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead the team in sourcing, evaluation, and recommendation of new investment opportunities in line with the objective of the Fund.

- Negotiation of terms and conditions of investment, finalization of term sheets, investment agreements etc.

- Lead the due diligence process by ensuring co-ordination between all stakeholders including the portfolio company for the entire investment cycle.

- Presenting and recommending investment and divestment opportunities to the IC.

- Monitor the performance of portfolio company and work with the management team and the board of directors to implement value-enhancing initiatives.

- Build and nurture networks with the ecosystem including entrepreneurs, intermediaries, and investors with a focus on deal creation.

- Represent the TNIFMC/ Fund on Board of portfolio companies.

- Exit planning and execution.

- Periodic update on portfolio performance to the IC and Board of TNIFMC.

- Assist in Fund raising activities.
