We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, \'anchor\', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction: . To manage a large and diverse team of AML / Correspondent Banking Analysts and Team Leaders working towards pre-defined targets . Manage day-to-day activities of the team and ensure compliance to procedures and policy guidelines, encourage and motivate advisors, develop agent skill sets and manage personal development goals for the agents. . Assist the VP in the maintenance of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators through effective team leadership. What will you be doing People Management (50%) . The role holder will drive and deliver exceptional business performance through the strong leadership and performance management of a complex team. . The role holder will achieve agreed service level agreements and targets within an empowered deadline driven pressurised environment. . The role holder will be effective at communicating, cascading and articulating business messages to all staff. . The role holder will be responsible for managing individual team member performance, team overtime, timekeeping and attendance, and resolving issues, grievances and conflicts in line with company policies, processes and procedures, to deliver excellent customer service and achieve consistency, key performance targets. . The role holder will be perceived as a role model for leadership and collaboration and demonstrate high levels of confidence in their ability to manage and motivate their team to deliver at all times. Subject Matter Expertise (10%) . The role holder will identify, initiate and implement process enhancements and improvements across the business, driving culture of efficiency, whilst remaining effective against policy. . The role holder will be responsible for managing, controlling and checking team activities, including overseeing workflow of the team to make best use of resources and ensure compliance with appropriate policies . The role holder will be responsible for resolving issues and problems, including appropriate further escalation as required, achieving the best possible outcome for the customer and the business in line with Regulators, Barclays policy and best practice Risk & Control (10%) . The role holder will be responsible for development, delivery and maintenance of an effective Operational Risk Control environment to covering all aspects of Functional operational risk management framework standards as set by UK Banking Risk, through effective review of business risks, audit/compliance issues/RCSA report management. This will include Business risk prevention and mitigation initiatives. . The role holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust compliance over operational IT system level discretions and ensuring the effective use of controls and sampling of department\'s or centre\'s use of these levels of authority, ensuring at all times an effective understanding of team adherence to data security standards and immediate resolution of identified issues, possibly working with others (Fraud/Police/Legal/HR Partner) where security breaches are identified and disciplinary actions are called for . The role holder will ensure that they and their team adhere to regular controls and procedures to ensure that a zero-tolerance environment for sanctions breaches is maintained Governance & Communication (30%) . The role holder has to be ready and skilled with working on MI and PowerPoint which would be needed for Business review and Meetings with Senior Management and Stakeholders and must have good knowledge on MS office tools . The role holder must have a good communication skills both locally and globally and good writing skills which would require to share the communication email within the groups via email, write ups on News Letter published on periodic basis. What we\'re looking for: . Total experience 8-10 years . Hands on experience of Team handling/Leadership experience (5-8 years) in team management & working knowledge of Transaction Monitoring, AML or KYC/Sanctions etc . Expert working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and Power Point skills . Stakeholder Management experience . Graduate in any discipline . Excellent verbal and written communication skills Skills that will help you in the role: . Experience of working in BPO/KPO, experience in AML/KYC/SANCTIONS . Familiarity with procedures, policies, products and services of a financial organisation . Knowledge of AML, Counter terrorist financing or Sanctions issues across the financial services . Demonstrate experience of workflow / queues management and people leadership .
