Job Overview: As an Air Ticketing Executive, you will be responsible for facilitating seamless travel experiences for clients by efficiently managing airline reservations, issuing tickets, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Key Responsibilities:Flight Reservations and Bookings:
Utilize GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, or Travelport to search, book, and confirm flight reservations based on client preferences and requirements.
Assist clients in selecting optimal flight itineraries, considering factors such as cost, duration, and airline preferences.
Ticketing and Fare Calculation:
Issue electronic tickets (e-tickets) accurately, ensuring compliance with airline regulations and IATA standards.
Calculate fares, taxes, and additional charges while adhering to industry regulations and pricing guidelines.
Customer Service:
Provide personalized assistance to clients regarding flight schedules, itinerary changes, cancellations, and other travel-related inquiries.
Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain meticulous records of reservations, ticketing transactions, and client communications using designated systems and software.
Stay updated on airline policies, fare rules, visa requirements, and travel regulations to provide accurate information and ensure compliance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Liaise with airlines, travel agencies, and other stakeholders to coordinate bookings, resolve issues, and negotiate special arrangements for clients.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and team members to share information, coordinate tasks, and optimize workflow efficiency.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Promote additional services such as travel insurance, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and tour packages to enhance revenue opportunities.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize sales and meet performance targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
Certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) is mandatory.
Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, or Travelport.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in ticket issuance and fare calculation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues professionally.
