Roles & Responsibilities The Physical Design team is part of the Design and Customer Experience team in the organisation and is responsible for conceptualising, designing, prototyping, and manufacturing the next generation of Mixed Reality devices that will be used by millions of users globally in the coming years. The team works closely with electrical, optical, systems, mechanical design, and manufacturing teams to design quality, high-volume, consumer products that our customers love. The Thermal Simulation Engineer is responsible for analysing, and developing solutions for a wide variety of mechanical and hardware challenges and complex problems with an analytical mindset firmly rooted in engineering first-principles for next generation of Mixed Reality devices that will be used by millions of users globally in the coming years. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise at various stages of projects to build aesthetically appealing and well-build next generation of Mixed Reality devices that will be used by consumers on a day to day basis. We are looking for candidates who are creative, energetic team players who excel in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. A portfolio comprising of your professional design work is required while applying for this position.

• Performed structural designing, development, and testing of finite element models designed for engineering purposes.
• Worked in an inter-disciplinary environment comprising of product designers, industrial designers, electronics and mechanical engineers to deliver consumer products at scale from concept to production.
• Monitor other engineering activities and provide technical solution based on analysis results for developing an optimal design.
• Strong knowledge of thermal analysis tools
• Strong knowledge of materials and their thermal characteristics
• Responsible for ensuring that Quality System is followed in all daily activities.
• Actively participated to the design verification process within the team.

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematical engineering or relevant field

• 5+ years experience using commercial Finite Element Analysis and numerical modeling tools such as FlothermXT, Flotherm, FloEFD, SimCenter 3D, ANSYS Mechanical, Icepak, Fluent, Abaqus, Comsol, Star-CCM+ and architecting products around thermal and structural solutions.
• 3+ years experience with 3D modeling software (Autodesk Fusion 360, Solidworks etc.)
