PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Molex CMS product team is seeking a Thermal Engineer to join the product development group for our newest and fast-growing segment. We are looking for those that share our passion for solution development and delivery. We're launching new platforms and looking for a strong Thermal Engineer to add to our team and work with a larger globally diverse and multi-functional team. You will be joining a high-performing team with strong product and launch experience.
The ideal candidate is someone with a strong background on computational fluid dynamics application in electronics cooling. The person has a passion for delivering value to users and the business through best-in-class engineering, product development, and execution.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a single point of Contact from Engineering to manage all thermal analysis across product segments within the Business Unit.
- Work with design experts and SMEs across Hardware and Mechanical Engineering in optimizing the product design.
- Customer focal for thermal management function
- Hands on in thermal simulation tools and correlate with actual validation.
- Strong understanding and experience in Electronic components behavior and modelling.
REQUIRED:
Master's degree in Mechanical Design Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics, M CAD Design or equivalent
PREFERRED:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
Minimum 10+ years in the Thermal Engineering preferaably from Automotive / Electronics Industry
PREFERRED:
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:
Strong Knowledge in Thermal management
Exposure to Thermal Analysis Techniques mandatory
Exposure to CFD simulations and CAE Tools. Ansys Icepak /Flotherm, Ansys ICEM-CFD or other CFD pre-processors & solvers preferable
Understanding of electronic modules and components
Strong Analytical and Problem solving skills
