Job Purpose
Create original designs and patterns for a variety of textiles
Develop and present design concepts and prototypes
Review and provide feedback on fabric samples
Maintain a portfolio of completed designs and projects
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in design software such as Textronics/TEXCAD/Penelope CAD programs.
- Experience with 3D mapping Design Software
- Strong understanding of color theory and color matching
- Experience with various textile production techniques
- Fabric analysis of textiles manually Count/Construction/Blend
- Strong understanding of the textile production process
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage time effectively
