Summary: As a Test Automation Lead, you will lead the transformation of testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to implement quality processes, tools, and methodologies that enhance control, accuracy, and integrity in testing. You will also focus on evolving predictive and intelligent testing approaches, leveraging automation and innovative testing products and solutions to drive improvements in quality engineering. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain automated API tests using Rest Assured and Cucumber. - Integrate automated test cases into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to ensure continuous integration and delivery. - Perform manual testing of APIs using tools such as Postman or Insomnia to verify functionality and critical endpoints before they go live. - Work collaboratively with the development and product teams to test new APIs, verify their correctness, and ensure they meet high-quality standards. - Utilize JMeter for load testing, performance testing, and validating the scalability of APIs. - Help define and implement test automation strategies aligned with the testing pyramid (unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests). - Investigate and debug issues found in production, ensuring that defects are identified, tracked, and resolved efficiently. - Contribute to the improvement of automation frameworks, test processes, and methodologies. - Provide feedback and assist in designing API test coverage for new features and API enhancements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, attending sprint meetings and contributing to the refinement of testing strategies. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in test automation. - Continuously assess and refine testing strategies to align with industry best practices. Professional & Technical Skills: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and processes. - Experience with various test automation tools and frameworks. - Ability to design and implement automated test scripts. - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Test Automation Strategy. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
