Your role

We're looking for a highly-skilled Test Automation Engineer to:

• Implement automation software testing and ensure continuous delivery (after a new deployment ensure automated test run)
• act as a lynchpin for product quality activities during development & releases such as identifying bugs and coordinating remediation
• produce test plan, provide an overview of test coverage, execution status and any release related risks such as open defects
• prepare test data for created test cases or migrations
• define and document test cases to prove new systems and applications functionality and to identify potential defects/bugs
• manage open defects by providing a clear view of severity and related risks and working with stakeholders to ensure they are handled appropriately. Ensuring test quality through optimization of test efficiency and effectiveness

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services, fulfilling client needs and encompassing multiple autonomous pods. You'll be working in our crew my Financial legacy in the Life Insurance team in Pune. We are responsible for guiding the success of Life Insurance IT product in all phases of the lifecycle, focusing on quick time to market and agile methodology. All this with a client centric delivery focus. You would join a very friendly group with lots of opportunities to work in multiple projects and hone your skills. We promote a strong support system in the pod that helps everyone grow their developing and engineering skill interests.
Your expertise

• ideally 5+ years of relevant experience in Test Automation and QA Test management (within the financial sector will be a plus)
• take ownership and responsibility for the design and development of all aspects of automated testing along with creation, execution and maintenance of automated scripts
• analyze, design and build automated test cases based on acceptance criteria captured in user stories
• researching issues in software with remediation geared towards designing & developing test automation scripts
• proven experience in Test automation tools and concepts such as Unit Testing, Component Testing, System Testing, Property Based Testing, Mutation Testing etc.
• good understanding and knowledge of test methodologies and SDLC and usage of following testing and administration tools: JIRA / Confluence, GitLab, Tosca, Selenium
• strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out), experience working in an Agile environment.
