Overview
We're looking for Senior Test Automation Engineer professionals who are driven and passionate about Automation Testing, solution implementation and troubleshooting, who can lead the analysis, planning, framework design, script preparation, maintenance and execution of scripts across an enterprise application landscape. A strong background in diverse automation tools and technology.
Strategic Focus

  • Advocate automation practices in the agile teams.
  • Actively participate in and continuous improvement measures to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of automation.
Operational Management
  • Delivery of agreed automation services to programs and projects.
  • Understand the automation requirements and decide on the approach and solution implementation.
  • Prepare automation design document, Test plan, estimates, status and execution report for every release/build.
  • Conduct analysis of business requirements, solution designs, process documentation etc., for the purpose of identifying feasible automation candidates.
  • Identify scope/goal of the test along with verification criteria and obtain signoff from the stakeholder for the solution to be implemented.
  • Responsible for maintaining automation tools and configuration activities in the assigned team.
  • Ensure automation deliverables for an assigned project are successfully delivered according to an agreed implementation plan / schedule, and meets identified success criteria and are therefore fit for purpose.
  • Maintain high integrity, ensure delivery of solution meets industry standards and in a timely manner.
  • Build relationships and liaise closely with all stakeholders across project/program benefitting and bringing value to the project with implementation of automation solution.
  • Raise defects and ensure defects are retested and closed at the completion of testing
  • Create / Manage test data within assigned test environments catering to relevant tests.
  • Follow the automation test processes and procedures within the Testing practice,
People Leadership
  • Mentor and guide less experienced testing resources in the team.
Governance & Risk
  • Implement best automation practices and standards as part of Enterprise Automation solution.
  • Innovate and implement solutions for the requirements as per the industry standards.
Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline
  • At least 5-7 years in a test role with at least 5+ years in implementing automation solutions.
  • Experience in automating complex E2E integrated financial platform like Superannuation/Insurance/Banking highly desirable.
  • Strong experience in defining and documenting the test automation approach and test automation plan across test phases.
  • Strong experience in building automation framework (from scratch) in projects.
  • Experience in API(SOAP/Rest/Microservices) testing using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, Ready API etc
  • Strong experience in building a comprehensive test automation suite for Web application, Pega systems, Mobile apps, Desktop Application and Webservices is a must.
  • Strong Experience in automation of Webservices using Rest assured/Postman/Soap UI/MSTest framework.
  • Strong experience in Selenium, Test Complete is a must
  • Strong experience in automation mobile application using Appium and other open source tools is desirable.
  • Proven experience in Java/C#/VB/Groovy
  • Should have implemented BDD using Specflow library/Cucumbers across complex projects.
  • Should be able to report on test automation execution and coverage across all phases of test.
  • Well versed in version control, branching and merging using Sourcetree or GIT interface.
  • Should exposure in delivering automation over CD/CI pipeline using Jenkins/Bamboo/Azure Devops.
  • Working experience in Jira/Confluence or similar.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and troubleshooting skills in order to resolve technical glitches during implementation.
  • Ability to work effectively with continuous change and short deadlines
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a consistently changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and perform all aspects of software quality assurance activities to successful completion for complex, multi-faceted initiatives that span business and technology.
  • Ability to effectively manage system acceptance teams and efforts, and clearly communicate status, risks, issues and recommend corrective actions to meet program and organizational objectives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across matrix organizations in a fast-paced, schedule driven and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to leverage business, product and functional requirements to create test plans and test cases.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement process
  • Experience in working in a captive model will be highly advantageous
  • Experience working in distributed delivery model with automation teams spread across different regions will be highly advantageous.
